The project, which will be conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Hasan Şimşek from the Department of Physiology at Aksaray University Faculty of Medicine, aims to investigate the effects of Betanin in Experimental Vulvodynia. The project has been granted support under TÜBİTAK 1002 - A Rapid Support Program. Dr. Şimşek stated that, despite the high prevalence of vulvodynia in society, treatment methods are limited, and patients often face difficulties in reaching the correct approach. He emphasized that this project aims to make significant contributions to both scientific and public health in this field.
In the project, along with Dr. Hasan Şimşek, Professor Dr. Fatih Mehmet Kandemir, Associate Professor Dr. Nurhan Akaras, Associate Professor Dr. Sibel Çiğdem Tuncer from the Faculty of Medicine, Lecturer Dr. Özge Kandemir from the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, and Specialist Dr. Koray Görkem Saçıntı from Aksaray Training and Research Hospital will be involved. The project team’s ongoing project has also been deemed worthy of support under the TÜBİTAK 1002 - A Rapid Support Program.
